Alto’s latest product release: September 2026

Alto Intelligence is the AI layer in Alto, we introduced the first iteration back in April 2026 and are excited to announce the next evolution, now available to all customers. So, what’s changed? Alto Intelligence now works through self-serve skills. A skill takes one of the jobs an agency repeats on every deal and does it for the agent, working from the agency’s own records.

Skills aren’t a bolt-on. Alto has mapped the 44 jobs a UK estate or letting agency does, end to end, and can map them because Alto can see how they actually get done, across roughly a third of the market, every day, for over 15 years.

That’s the difference between building against how agencies really work and pointing a general AI tool at property. The six skills below target the highly repetitive, admin-heavy tasks that drain an agency’s time, launching in September:

1. Appraisal builder | Win instructions

The appraisal is booked. What you do between now and walking through the door decides whether you win it.

You want to know what’s on the market, what you’ve sold or let nearby, what’s gone recently and for how much, and anything about the property itself that affects the price. That research is what makes you sound like you know the street. It’s also the research you don’t have time to do properly before every appraisal.

Appraisal builder does it and builds the pack. Comparables that actually match, by type, size, price band and how recently they sold. Your own instructions in the area. What’s sold locally. Property detail like flood risk and planning history. Written in your agency’s voice, ready to talk through, print off, or leave behind with the client.

It never suggests a valuation. You supply the figure.

2. Listing writer | Market the property

Every instruction needs a description, bullets and a room-by-room. Written well, they get viewings booked. Written at six o’clock on a Friday, they list the rooms.

Listing writer writes all three in your agency’s style, learned from the listings you’ve already published. It writes sales and lettings differently, because they sell on different things.

3. Property matcher | Market the property

Matching is the job everyone means to do properly and nobody has a clear hour for. A new instruction lands, a price drops, and someone works down a list by budget and bedrooms until the phone rings.

Property matcher matches each applicant against every new listing and price drop in a single pass, and scores every pairing on how well it actually fits rather than filtering on hard cut-offs. Applicants and tenants both. Each contact gets one email with all their matches, not an email per property.

4. Progression chaser | Get to exchange

The sale that falls through is rarely the one you were worried about. It’s the one nobody looked at for three weeks.

Progression chaser ranks your whole pipeline by risk, worst first, tells you which sales are in danger and why in plain English, then drafts the chase to whoever needs it: the solicitor, your client, or the other agent.

It drafts. You send.

5. Alto IQ | Know where you stand

Most questions about the business need a report building before you get an answer. How many appraisals last month. Which branch is converting. Where the fall-throughs are coming from. How much rent is outstanding.

Ask Alto IQ in plain English and get the chart, table or number straight back.

Alto IQ is already live and included in Alto.

6. Message writer | Runs underneath every skill

Message writer drafts any email or letter in your agency’s own words, pulling names, dates and figures straight from the record rather than generating them. It powers the other five skills and works on its own too.

Your client data never leaves Alto

Ask around and you’ll probably find someone on the team already drafting emails in ChatGPT. That’s a fair sign of how useful this stuff is. It’s also how a vendor’s name, a tenant’s circumstances or a chain’s details end up pasted into a system nobody at the agency controls, with no record that it happened.

Skills keep the useful part and lose that problem. Every skill reads from your own agency’s records, scoped to your branch and your existing permissions. Nothing crosses into another agency’s account, and every action logs back to the record. The work happens inside the system your deals already live in.

For us the big thing is that the skills are built into Alto itself. We already trust Alto with our data, so with the skills, client information never has to leave the system we already use. – Sam Whitehead, Operations Director, The Accommodation Bureau.

What happens when you turn a skill on:

A skill starts working on your live data straight away: Your own comparables, listings, pipeline and contacts.
Most hand back something finished for you to check, edit and send. Property matcher is the exception, because matching means hundreds of contacts rather than a single draft, so you approve the matching approach once at setup instead of each individual match.

“Between the appraisal builder and the listing writer alone, I could save 40 hours a week. That’s a full-time member of staff, taken off typing up details and put into the parts of the business that win us instructions.” – Nicholas Lamb, Managing Director, Webbs Estate Agents.
